The Platform is an Australian Government investment that aims to strengthen locally led efforts to prevent gender-based violence (GBV) through evidence-based advocacy, dialogue, policy and programming in Southeast Asia.
It brings together diverse stakeholders across the region to collaborate, share, work together to exchange capacity, evidence and action to prevent GBV in all its forms.
Platform Principles
We are guided by the principles of being locally driven, evidence-based, inclusive and diverse, survivor-centred and trauma informed, adaptable, collaborative, minimising harm, accessible and innovative.
The Secretariat
The Platform is led by a regionally-based Secretariat in collaboration with Cowater International, Social Development Direct, and The Equality Institute whose main role is to facilitate organisational development and provide technical support.
